************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
For example:
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Issue not resolved, but error reporting improved as a consequence

Are you logged in a the administrator for the site you are trying to manage/edit?

dougleung wrote Jun 14, 2008 at 3:43 PM

Will update errors to be more friendly. This error seems to be due to the fact that the user has no access to a resource?
Could not reproduce.

I had the exact problem/error and the way I fixed it was to log on to the SharePoint server as the SharePoint System Account user. This is the same user used to start all 3 SharePoint Services. Hope this helps.
